01The brief

Most of this industry is advised by people who've never grown anything.

There is no shortage of consultants in fungi. There is a shortage of consultants who have run a payroll against a harvest cadence, lost a room to bad airflow, and shipped product into an institution on a real deadline.

The expensive mistakes in this business are not exotic. They are the same six or seven decisions, made early, by people who had no way of knowing yet. I have made most of them already.

02The build

Four ways in, in order of commitment.

01

Discovery call · free, 30 min

A straight conversation about what you’re building. No deck, no pitch. If I’m not the right fit I’ll say so and point you at somebody who is.

02

Farm assessment · $2,500

Two to three weeks. I review your space, your numbers and your goals, then write up what I’d actually do — including the parts you won’t like.

03

Project engagement · from $7,500

Farm design, a product line, a regulatory path, or a remediation build. Defined scope, defined outcome, direct access to me throughout.

04

Advisory retainer · $1,500/mo

Three-month minimum. Two sessions a month plus async in between, for operators who want the call before the decision rather than after it.

05

How it's priced

On the work, not the hours. When I solve it faster, you don’t pay more. Nobody should be billed for my learning curve twice.

05What it taught me

The answer is almost never biology.

People book me to fix a contamination problem and we spend the call on their labour model. Fungi are forgiving. Cash flow, staffing, and a layout that makes product travel backwards are not. The mushrooms are usually the healthiest part of the operation.

Fix the system and the flush takes care of itself.
